FRENCH TOUCH
During the last 15 years, VANKLEEF has been wooed by brands from all over the world to liven up exclusive parties that have drawn privileged crowds. Convincing maestro of eclectics, he has a way of picking the appropriate track at the right moment to set the audience in motion.
The renowned DJ is a long-standing music-lover. As a young student, he already scoured Parisian parties to discover artists and refine his music-mad ear. He then naturally became a DJ, distilling his ultra-inventive playlists to have entire dance floors rocking until the early morning.
VANKLEEF fashions his playlists by digging into a wide repertoire that mixes all genres, a musical catalog enriched by the DJ over the course of his various experiences. From the beginning, he has always loved to snoop around for new tracks he can then have the crowd discover during his parties.
According to the mood, the artist sorts out the various musical genres: House, Funk, Electro, Disco or even Hip-hop and Soul, from the timeless gems to the acknowledged hits, to satisfy even the most demanding audiences.
His solid references quickly brought VANKLEEF to the attention of reputable brands. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior or Ferrari, are some of the luxury institutions that now turn to his talent to set the music for their events. The artist is also called upon during the Cannes Film Festival to organize the Closing Party or even by the record company Universal Music and Fashion TV for their parties’ soundtrack.
VANKLEEF is perhaps best known for his collaboration as a Dj for Luxury brands but whether it is playing a pool party in St Tropez, an edgier European club or an event in a concert venue with A-list top artists, he feels comfortable adapting to each situation. “I like to be part of creating a trend as opposed to following a trend. My identity is my culture in music, i take what I experience and create my own thing.” VANKLEEF says, “You expand people’s minds by being able to expose them to different things. It takes a good experience to take a record from one place and take it somewhere else. When a crowd trusts the DJ, most people adapt to it and it’s always amazing to see that music is an international language”.
